The Atonement,” is an adaptation of the short film, ”Death of a Drunk” written and created by Vanessa D. Anthony. A 30 minute TV thriller/drama series set in the heart in rural Georgia.

A "Big City" Detective takes on one of the most complex cases of his career as he investigates the mysterious death of a local woman in the story of a battered wife and sudden disappearance of her estranged husband. His worthy detective work invites a gruesome turn of events as he finds himself questioning his own sanity in a small town with no one to trust.

Episode One
The Mystery of a Murder
The scene opens with the mysterious death of Martha Bradley and disappeared of her lover, Jack Thornton, who's the suspect. A search for his arrest is issued. New York Detective Robert Grant and Local Officer, Tom Berry arrive at the crime scene. Interrogations of some town locals are in play. Emily Thornton, Jack's wife describes the horror she experienced by her abusive husband.
